We are wired to connect.
Just as a grove of aspens is supported by an interconnected root system, humans thrive in healthy relationship with others.
Eva Glaser, LPC, LCAT, BC-DMT
Welcome- I’m Eva.
I am an experienced psychotherapist with expertise in parenting, early childhood development, trauma, and relationships.
I have always been drawn to spending time and working with young children, which led me to my passion of witnessing and supporting the journey of parents.
I work with you and your child to support and strengthen your relationship, which allows for the work we do together to go beyond the confines of the therapy room and have a lasting impact for years to come. The struggles of life never end, but having relationships built on trust and understanding that can support those struggles can make all the difference.
I bring a decade of experience in early childhood mental health and dance/movement therapy to support relational connection and effective navigation of the stressors or challenges your family may be experiencing.
Outside of working with parents and children, I also work with adults looking to create new relational patterns (to themselves and/or others) to bring more fulfillment and sense of innate goodness into their lives.
I would love to connect with you to see if we would be a good fit for the support you’re looking for.
Are you stuck with how to help your child with their big feelings?
Have you, your family, or your child experienced a traumatic event or stressful experience that is impacting behaviors or relationships?
Are you looking to create a more loving, secure, and joyful relationship with your little one?
Are you worried that you are not connecting to your child in the ways you had imagined, maybe due to post-partum depression or anxiety?
Are you tired of feeling stuck in patterns that don’t serve you or your loved ones but feel trapped by old wounds?
My experience and training in trauma-informed and somatic therapy gives me the added lens of how the body stores trauma and the technical skill to guide you and/or your child in overcoming and integrating traumatic or stressful experiences.
The Child-Parent Psychotherapy Difference
Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is an evidence-based treatment for children (0-5) and their primary caregivers.
CPP is grounded in the understanding that the relationship between you and your child is the most central aspect of healing. Therefore, instead of dropping off your child with a therapist, you are an integral part of the process.
Sessions are held with you and your child (and sometimes just you because grown up conversations are necessary too). We will use words, play, and movement to create developmentally appropriate narrative and understanding about past or current experiences (trauma, ongoing stress, behavioral challenges) that are impacting your family.
We will also work on creating more security and trust in the relationship because we know that it’s your relationship (not never-ending therapy) that will continue to offer support and resilience in the journey of life.
